holiday cupcakes.

Today we made cupcakes. 

Red, white, and blue cupcakes. 

They are super easy to make, 

and can be made using any colors to make your cupcakes extra festive.

Just separate your white cake batter into several bowls and add food coloring to each bowl.

Then layer your different colored batter in your cupcake papers.

Easy peasy.

(sidenote: that girl up there is Reagan, she's the girl that hangs out with us during the afternoon. Her mama is in husbands class.)

Red, white, and blue cupcakes taste extra better when they are made by military kids. 

True story. 

Each child had their own color,

it worked out well. 

We talked a little about the meaning of memorial day. 

I want them to always know the true meaning. 

That it's not just another summer holiday spent at the beach.
