Playing Candy Land. What you don't see in this picture is that this peace only lasted a few minutes before Baylie got mad and accused Bryce of cheating, and Bryce yelling at her that he "don't even know HOW to cheat!!" All of that followed by Bryce throwing a double purple card at his sisters head.
We went to the park while Richard was getting his hair cut yesterday. One of the kids favorites is the tire swing. They both get on and announce that they want to go really high and spin in circles. This Mom knows they are both a couple of liars though. So she keeps it calm at first. Calm enough to capture this moment.
Ya, I wrote the date on it because it probably wont happen again this month. Or this year. What you don't see in this photo? Not a minute later Bryce starts complaining that Baylie is pushing on his legs and "hogging all the leg room". Baylie doesn't get offended by this though. Nope. She decides to take a different route. The picking your foot up and kicking his knees route. The route that almost always follows with her getting in trouble for being mean, but its okay, because it was totally worth it.
To end this on a positive note... Bryce is drawn to these things every time they have them at a park. He'll spend an hour there moving sand around. Sometimes he'll even get creative and go around to collect sticks and rocks to throw in the sandpit. Can you see him as an adult hanging out in some kind of heavy machinery all day wearing a brightly colored construction hat? I can.
